Everest Base Camp tour, is an indispensable of a Tibet tour for tens of thousands of tourists traveling to Tibet which takes two days to drive one-way about 700 km from Lhasa to the world’s highest mountain, Mt. Everest with an elevation of 8,000 meters. During your tour to Everest Base Camp, you will be accompanied by the beautiful landscapes and famous temples all the way, such as the beautiful Yamdrok Lake, the Karuola Glaciers lying on the roadside, the Pelkor Chode Monastery , the famed Tashilhunpo known as the Panchen Lama’s seat, the Sakya Monastery reputed as the “Second Dunhuang” for its magic murals, and the world’s highest monastery, 5,000 meters Rongbuk Monastery.  All these beautiful scenes attracts the travelers & shortens the distance of the tour as well. Everest Base Camp tour takes 6 to 11 days from Lhasa to the Mount Everest.

In the morning you will be transferred to the Tribhuvan International Airport for the spectacular hour long flight to Lhasa. Air China Boeing 757 will fly over much of the magnificent Himalayan range providing you with mountain views in the entire flight journey.  After landing at Gonggar airport in Lhasa, our Tibet representative will meet you at the airport and transfer  by Land cruiser to the main city of Lhasa. It will take some time to acclimate to Lhasa's high altitude and you are advised to relax and take a rest in the hotel without doing any sightseeing activities on these day. In Lhasa you will visit all the popular historical and religious sites including famous Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple Drepung Monastery and other cultural hubs. The popular Potala Palace and other cultural heritage sites will offer you to know about real Tibetan Buddhism tradition. After visiting this world heritage city of Tibet, you will drive overland to Everest Base Camp along the Friendship Highway. After excursion to Everest Base Camp you will continue your overland journey up to Kodari border and end the tour. While driving you will cross over the highest passes en route. You will see beautiful traditional Tibetan hamlets and their cultural activities as well great panoramic views of nomad landscape

  • Day 1(Fly Kathmandu (1400m) to Lhasa (3660m))
    In the morning we will transfer to the Kathmandu airport for the spectacular hour long flight to Lhasa. Air China Boeing 757 will fly us over much of the magnificent Himalayan range providing us with mountain views the entire way. Once landed at Gonggar airport in Lhasa you will meet with our Tibetan guide. You must travel two hours by Land cruiser to reach the main city of Lhasa. It will take some time to acclimate to Lhasa's high altitude. So we recommend that you must relax and rest at the pre-booked hotel.
  • Day 2(Lhasa guided sightseeing)
    On this second day a guide and interpreter will lead you through several of Lhasa's many monasteries. The first one we will visit is Sera Monastery, a fifteenth century sprawl of golden roofs and whitewashed walls. This well-preserved monastery is located just a few miles north of Lhasa and is home to several hundred monks. In the afternoon we will visit the summer palace of the Dalai Lama, Norbulingka, as well as the Jokhang Temple. This temple is the most revered shrine in all of Tibet and is constantly bustling with devout worshippers. In the evening we stroll around in Barkor, the crowded central market of Lhasa.
  • Day 3(Lhasa guided sightseeing)
    A trip to Tibet would not be complete without experiencing the vital Potala Palace. This palace is Lhasa's cardinal landmark and is a wonder of eastern architecture. Your first site of this massive structure will be a magical moment remembered for years to come. It has been a palace since the fifth or sixth century and was once home to the Dalai Lama. This truly amazing day will be ended with a visit to the Drepung Monastery. Once the world's largest monastery, housing 10,000 monks, Drepung monastery lies hidden in rocky ridges just beyond the city. Surprisingly much of the building was left untouched throughout the Cultural Revolution.
  • Day 4(Drive to Shigatse (3850m) via Gyantse (4040m))
    In the morning drive to Shigatse, via Gyantse on the Southern Friendship Highway. Crossing over the summit of Kamba La (4794 m), you'll see the tranquil turquoise waters of Lake Yamdrok below; one of the three holiest lakes in Tibet. Far in the distance you'll spot the towering massif Mt. Nojin Kangtsang (7191 m), and the staggering Karo-la Glacier (5045 m). Afterwards, you'll drive to Shigatse, and overnight in hotel
  • Day 5(Drive Shigatse to Shegar)
    This morning you'll have a chance to visit Tashilumpu Monastery, the home of the Panchen Lama, which is essentially a walled town with cobbled and twisting lanes that revolve around a magnificent monastery. Then you will drive to Tingri via Lhatse. This evening you'll have the intoxicating view of Mt. Everest. Overnight in local guesthouse
  • Day 6(Drive to Mt Everest Base Camp and return to Rongbuk monastery)
    Wake up early morning and have breakfast. After breakfast, drive 100km to Rongbuk monastery. From Rongbuk Monastery you can hike 8km to the Everest Base Camp which takes 2hrs.  Return to Rongbuk monastery and stay overnight there
  • Day 7(Drive Rongbuk to Nyalam)
    After breakfast you will drive downhill to Nyalam crossing two spectacular high passes - The Lalung La & Nyalam Pass. Or continue towards Zangmu.
  • Day 8(Drive Nyalam - Zhangmu Kathmandu (1300m, 123km) Tour Ends)
