Siklis Trek

Siklis Trek is a short and low altitude trek cuts through an area rarely visited and traverses a variety of terrain from low land villages and terraced fields up to Nepal's largest Gurung village of Siklis.The Siklis area lies north-east of Pokhara This trek is recommended for those who are interested to explore the countryside of Nepal and experience local culture and lifestyle of the people.

This trekking trail takes us to the beautiful villages mostly inhibited by Gurung community having their unique customs and traditions. The warm welcome by Gurung community & the tasty local foods, variety of dishes freshly prepared with a variety of dishes will definitely refresh you & forget your tiredness during this trek.Trek in Siklis allows for  opportunity to explore this perticular region of Nepal & its people, their provided hospitality during trek.

 In the spring, you will see the blooming of rhododendron flowers along with the chirping sounds of birds along the trails. The trek concludes at Hyamgja and takes a transport back to Pokhara. This trek offers some beautiful & splendid view of different Annapurna Himalayan range along with Dhaulagiri and Mt. Manasalu.

  • Day 1(Arrival in Kathmandu (1300 m) & transfer to hotel)
    Upon your arrival in the Kathmandu airport, you will be greeted by Red Carpet Tours and Travels representative and transferred to hotel. After check in, you can either take a rest or hang around in the city depending on your interest and time constraint.
  • Day 2(Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation)
    Today after breakfast, we start a guided sightseeing to historical and spiritual sites in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites that include the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath) and Buddhists shrine (Buddhanath) which is one of the largest Stupas in the world. In the evening, there will be a pre-trip discussion, introducing with your trekking guide. You will have an opportunity to ask any questions related to upcoming trekking. You might ask for any trekking gear for hiring or purchasing. Overnight in hotel.
  • Day 3(Kathmandu to Pokhara)
    Your trekking guide will come to your Hotel early in the morning to pick you up and after breakfast in hotel you will leave for Pokhara. Upon arrival in Pokhara you will stay free. Overnight in hotel
  • Day 4(Drive Pokhara to Bijayapu Khola Kalikasthan (1370m))
    After breakfast we will drive you to Bijayapur Khola (Bijayapur Army Camp)-Kalikasthan (1370m.) which takes about five hours. A broad trail starts through rice fields near the Army Camp, and continues through Rakhigaon to Chautara, a resting place under a large pipal tree. En route, you will enjoy the panoramic views of the Annapurna and Machhapuchhre. From Chautara the trail climbs gently along a ridge top through the Brahmin and Chhetris villages towards Kalikasthan at (1370m.). At the end, you should climb a short distance to the campsite which is situated above the village. Overnight at lodge
  • Day 5(Trek to Lamakhet (1680m))
    After breakfast we begin following the trek through local villages of mixed ethnic groups, rice terraces up to Mardi Khola. Now the trek is easy as you walk along the riverbank. En route you cross Bhaise, Nawaldanda, to reach Lama Khet. It is a small village where we will stay overnight. This place is surrounded by green hills which exhilarates you. Overnight at lodge
  • Day 6(Trek to Siklis (1980m))
    After breakfast we begin our trek. Today the trail stretches at flat level along the river bank until we reach Khilan Gaon. Then, we will follow the path which is gently up at some distance for some hours. En route we will pass Parju village and the trail again climbs up to Siklis village. It is one of the oldest and biggest Gurung village. Overnight at lodge
  • Day 7(Trek to forest Camp (2200m))
    Today we will walk through rhododendron and oak forests following gently ascent path in the beginning. After some distance, you walk over the flat land. Forest Camp surrounded by forests. Overnight at lodge.
  • Day 8(Trek to Ghale Gaon (2000m))
    You trek through forests bloomed with rhododendron in spring. While walking you cross the highest pass and gently descend to reach Ghale Gaon. It is a small village which is mainly inhabited by Gurung and Magar communities. Overnight at local community home
  • Day 9(Trek to Hyamgja & drive to Pokhara)
    Today we decend gently up to Hyamgja (1070m) and take a transport to Pokhara where you will enjoy sightseeing trip to Fewa Lake, Devis water fall, Museum, and Gupteshower cave. Lunch during sightseeing Overnight at hotel.
  • Day 10(Drive back to Kathmandu)
    After breakfast we drive or take a flight back to Kathmandu. On arrival in Kathmandu, your guide will transfer you to your hotel. Rest of the day you can spend at leisure or perhaps catching up with on some last minute shopping or exploring any sights you missed during your first day in Kathmandu.
  • Day 11(Final Departure)
    Your trip comes to an end today! There is nothing to do. Our airport representative will take you to the airport approximately 3 hours before the scheduled flight.
