On arrival at Lukla, your guide will introduce you to all your trekking staff (porters & cook). You have time to explore the nearby Sherpa village, while your staff  sort out all necessary equipments for the trek. Then you will begin your trek by descending towards the Dudh Koshi River where you will be joining the main trail to Namche Bazaar, located just above Chaunrikharka (2713m).  After an easy walk, you will reach a small village of ‘Ghat’, and from there, it is a short hike to Phakding, where you will be spending the night.
  • Day 4(Trek to Namche Bazaar (3441 meters)- 5.5 hours)
You will continue your trek along the banks of the fast-flowing majestic Dudh Koshi River. You will be crossing this river many times on suspension bridges on your way to Namche Bazaar. You will walk along paths laden with prayer flags, you will feel the tranquil atmosphere with every ‘gulp’ of fresh air. You will be provided refreshments at Namche Bazaar. Don’t forget to try some of those local beverages. They fill you with warmth and energy. Overnight at Naamche Bazaar.
  • Day 5(Namche Bazaar Acclimatization day)
You will spend a full day here at Namche Bazaar. The main reason for this is to make you acclimatized to the thin layer of atmosphere here at Namche and higher. You may utilize the day on your own. We recommend that you take about half-a-dozen short walks around Namche and surrounding areas, so that you get accustomed to walking in the thin air. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.
  • Day 6(Trek to Tengboche Monastery (3860 meters) 5 hours)
The trek continues along the rushing glacial waters of the Dudh Koshi with magnificent views of surrounding mountains. You will trek to an altitude of 3860 meters today. On reaching Tengboche you will be seeing the local monastery. Inside the monastery are incredibly ornate wall hangings, a 20-foot sculpture of Buddha, and musical instruments and robes of Lamas. You will be taken to observe a prayer ceremony either in the evening or morning depending on how the day's trekking goes. Overnight at Guesthouse in Tengboche.
  • Day 7(Trek to Dingboche (4350 meters) 5.5 hours)
From Tengboche the trail drops to Debuche, crosses another exciting suspension bridge on the Imja Khola, and climbs up to Pangboche. Your uphill trek continues, taking you to the quaint traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche with its exquisite views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam. We trek with ease because hastiness here may result in altitude sickness. Overnight at Dingboche.
  • Day 8(Trek to Chhukung (4710 meters) and trek back to Dingboche-4.5 hours)
This day will also be used for acclimatization as the higher Himalayas require a higher level of adaptation to low oxygen. You will have a trip to Chhukung valley via the Imja Khola to witness a marvelous view of the surrounding mountains, especially Lhotse’s massive south wall, then return to Dingboche in the evening. Overnight at Guesthouse in Dingboche.
  • Day 9(Trek to Lobuche (4910 meters)-5 hours)
The trail continues along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and passes by stone memorials, made for climbers who had perished attempting to climb nearby summits. You will continue to climb for 2/3 hours. At the end of this period, you will find yourselves at Lobuche, a hamlet at the foot of a snowy massif. You may get acquainted with altitude sickness at Lobuche. Overnight at Lobuche.
  • Day 10(Trek to Everest Base Camp via Gorak Shep (5365 meters) then back to Gorak Shep (5180 meters)-8 hours)
This is another big and difficult day walk along the Khumbu Glacier and up to Everest Base Camp at 5365 meters, the closest you can get to Mt. Everest without mountaineering equipment. There will likely be a team about to attempt the summit. And if you are lucky, you can interact with them too! The view of the Khumbu Icefall from Base Camp is spectacular. You will return back to Gorak Shep for the night. Overnight at Guesthouse.
  • Day 11(Hike up to Kalapatthar (5555 meters) early in the morning and trek down to Periche (4200 meters)-7 hours)
This will be one of the most difficult yet rewarding days of the trek. Most of morning in this day is spent climbing Mt. KalaPatthar, a small peak (by Himalayan standards) at 5555meters. The ascent is demanding but the climber is eventually rewarded with the most magnificent mountain panorama: Everest, the highest point on the planet at 29028 ft/ 8848 meters, towers directly ahead and on all sides loom the other snowy giants; Nuptse, Pumori, Chagatse, Lhotse and countless others. You will make a quick descent to Gorak Shep, and then trek down to Periche. Overnight at Guesthouse in Periche.
  • Day 12(Trek to Namche Bazaar (3441 meters) 5.30 hours)
From Periche, you will take a slightly different route down to Orsho, then to Pangboche village. Here is the oldest monastery in the region which contains what is said to be the fossilized remains of a 'Yeti', or the abominable snowman. Leaving mountains behind, your descent will take you through Tengboche Monastery at elevation of 3860 meters before continuing back to the town of Namche Bazaar at 3441meters. You will arrive back at Namche Bazaar in the afternoon. Overnight at Guesthouse.
  • Day 13(Trek to Lukla (2804 meters) 6 hours)
Finally you will trek back to Lukla, where this trek started. It might seems a long ago, but it’s just 12 days back!  You will be transferred to a guesthouse on reaching Lukla. Spend the evening at leisure. Overnight at Lukla.
  • Day 14(Morning flight back to Kathmandu)
After having breakfast, you walk a short distance to Tenzing and Hillary Airport for your flight back to Kathmandu. On arrival, you will be transferred to the previously occupied hotel. You may use the rest of the day for relaxation and/or recreation. Having short walks around the streets of Thamel might not be a loss. You never know when you might see anything that strikes your fancy.
