Ghalegaun Homestay

Ghalegaun is popular scenic tourist destination in Lamjung, approximately 20.5 km northwest of Kathmandu and 12.5 km northeast of Pokhara, Nepal.

Ghalegaun homestay is a journey to the remote Himalayan village of Ghale Gaun where you will discover the traditional culture & lifestyle of the Gurung people. There are over 100 Gurung-style houses in the village which have been specially prepared for visitors with comfortable basic amenities. In Ghalegaun stay, you will experience the lifestyles of people living in Village area closely by staying with the villagers in their typical homes.

  • Day 1(Drive to Ghalegaun)
    Rendezvous with your tour guide in Kathmandu in the morning, and drive to Besisahar (6 hours’ drive); Lamjung district of Nepal, then change vehicle at Besisahar and drive to Ghalegaun (2-3 hours’ drive). Overnight stay at Ghalegaun.
  • Day 2(Drive to Pokhara)
    You will spend half the day at Ghalegaun and do some local sightseeing, then drive back to Besisahar (2-3 hours’ drive), and then drive to Pokhara (2-3 hours’ drive).You will have overnight stay at Pokhara.
  • Day 3(Drive to Kathmandu)
    After breakfast,you will enjoy half-day sightseeing at Pokhara (Visit Bindabasini Temple, Devi’s Fall, Mahendra Cave, Fewa Lake boating).Then after lunch you will drive back to Kathmandu.
