Annapurna Sanctuary Trek is another rewarding trek in the Annapurna region designed for those who love to enjoy the flora and fauna, panoramic view of the Himalayan range and experience Himalayan culture of different ethnic people of the area.

Annapurna Sanctuary Trek is an ideal trek that takes you right into the base camp of Annapurna. The trek begins from lowland and gradually the trail ends at a point where you are virtually surrounded by soaring Himalayan peaks. The trek involves several ascents and descents but not so hard to attempt as there are several alternative routes to the sanctuary, all meeting at Chomrong.

  • Day 1(Arrival in Kathmandu (1300 m) & transfer to hotel)
    Upon your arrival in the Kathmandu airport, you will be greeted by Red Carpet Tours and Travels representative and transferred to hotel. After check in, you can either take a rest or hang around in the city depending on your interest and time constraint.
  • Day 2(Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation)
    Today after breakfast, we start a guided sightseeing to historical and spiritual sites in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites that include the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath) and Buddhists shrine (Buddhanath) which is one of the largest Stupas in the world. In the evening, there will be a pre-trip discussion, introducing with your trekking guide. You will have an opportunity to ask any questions related to upcoming trekking. You might ask for any trekking gear for hiring or purchasing. Overnight in hotel
  • Day 3(Fly/ Drive to Pokhara (823m))
    After breakfast you make a journey to Pokhara either by flight or make overland journey. If you make overland journey you can view best views of green mountains and villages on the route. Upon reaching the enchanting city of Pokhara you will enjoy magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhare, five peaks of Annapurna and others. Check in hotel and in the evening you can hang around exploring Lakeside or boating.
  • Day 4(Drive to Nayapul (trek starting point) & begin trek to Tikhedhunga)
    After having early morning breakfast at your hotel in Pokhara, we drive to Nayapul (the trek starting point). After reaching Nayapul, your trek starts! After 15 minutes short walk along the bank of the Modi Khola, we reach Birethanti (1065m) a large village that has many shops & teahouses. From there, the trail continues through the village. The trail follows the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola. From there, the trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley to Hille at 1495m & after the short climb, we reach Tikhedhunga at 1525m. This trek offers a short & relatively easy day walk. Overnight at lodge
  • Day 5(Trek to Ghorepani (2775m))
    Leaving Tikhedunga, we begin our journey with steep climb to Ulleri. Ulleri is a large Magar village at 2070m. Then, the trail continues to ascend more gently, through fine forests of oak & rhododendron towards Banthanti at 2250m. Then we make our trek towards Nangethanti at 2460m. After an hour gentle walk from Nangethanti, we will reach at Ghorepani at. Overnight at lodge
  • Day 6(Hiking to Poonhill - back to Ghorepani, and trek to Tadapani)
    Today we will get up early in the morning, and go for hiking to Poon Hill. From here we will see superb view of sunrise, and panoramic view of Himalayas, including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Annapurna South, Mt. Annapurna I, Mt. Fishtail, and many more. After excursion to Poon Hill, we will go back to our hotel; take a breakfast, and continue walking down to Tadapani. Overnight at lodge
  • Day 7(Trek to Chhomorung)
    The trail goes steep downhill. Leaving Tadapani, we descend steeply through forests and then the trail eases as we reach Gurjung which is the village of Gurung people. We then take an easy walk to Chhomorung (2020m). Overnight at lodge
  • Day 8(Trek to Dovan)
    Today the trail drops down to the Chhomorung Khola & again we continue climbing to Khudighar at 2380m where there is an ACAP Check post, and continuous walking to Dovan. Overnight at lodge
  • Day 9(Trek to Deurali)
    After breakfast we begin the climb through bamboo, then rhododendron forests to Dovan, Himalayan Hotel and on to Hinko at 3020m. The accommodation will be in Deurali, on the ridge above Hinko & is the stretch of trail that is most subject to avalanche. Overnight at lodge
  • Day 10(Trek to Annapurna Base Camp)
    Today the trail climbs on past the Machhapuchhare Base Camp to the Annapurna Base Camp. Since it is totally surrounded by mountains, this area is known as the Annapurna Sanctuary. we can either end the day at Machhapuchhare Base Camp or trek two hours on to Annapurna Base Camp. There, we will view the mountain scenery which is even more spectacular. Overnight at lodge
  • Day 11(Explore the Valley & back to Dovan)
    Early wake up and explore the hidden Valley in the morning and trek back to Dovan. Overnight at lodge
  • Day 12(Trek to Jhinu Danda)
    Today we trek to Jhinu Danda (hot spring). Enjoy the evening at hot spring. Overnight at lodge
  • Day 13(Trek to Pothana via Landruk)
    On this day, we will enjoy the views of waterfalls, landscapes, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Fishtail and many more. Overnight at lodge
  • Day 14(Trek to Phedi and drive to Pokhara)
    After breakfast, we take a 2 hours easy downhill walk to Phedi where the road links to Pokhara. It is simply half an hour drive to Pokhara from Phedi. Afternoon you can relax or go sightseeing in Pokhara. Overnight in hotel
  • Day 15(Fly/ Drive to Kathmandu)
    After breakfast in hotel we take early flight or make overland journey to Kathmandu. On arrival in Kathmandu, your guide will transfer you to your hotel. Rest of the day you can spend at leisure or perhaps catching up with on some last minute shopping or exploring any sights you missed during your first day in Kathmandu.
  • Day 16(Final Departure)
    Your trip comes to an end today! There is nothing to do. Our airport representative will take you to the airport approximately 3 hours before the scheduled flight.
