Important Information:



  1. For the Yatra to use other kind of transport is no use since we can ride it on off road. Deluxe Coach is more luxury and comfortable.

  2. Full payment must be paid by the time arriving in Kathmandu before heading to Tibet.

  3. Trip costs (Tibet) and must be paid in cash (US dollar) as per the rule of China.

  4. Air China operates flights around the year every Saturday and Tuesday and adds extra flights in peak season time (Kathmandu). For the Kailash trip, following the road is the best option!

  5. Entering Tibet via China you must obtain Chinese visa in your home country. We will issue Tibet permit and deliver to any Gateway cities of China. We require a scanned copy of passport and copy of Chinese visa at least 15 days prior to arrival in gateway cities in China.

  6. Entering Tibet via Nepal, tourist must spend at least 2 nights in Kathmandu for final process of Tibet visa but we get good support on accidental situation.

  7. To apply the visa approval before your arrival we need:A clear, colour scan of your passport.  This must be provided to us at least 20 days prior to the arrival in Kathmandu.




    • 2 colour passport size photo

    • Chinese Embassy visa form (duly completed by each client)

    • Passport (original).



  8. You must travel on the same passport provided for the visa.  The passport must have more than 6 months validity remaining and it must be an ordinary passport.

  9. You do not need to bring Chinese visa if you are entering Tibet via gateway city of Kathmandu, it has different process which we will do for you. Tibet visa is also valid for China mainland. However, Tibet visa is not valid for Hong Kong or Macau. If you are travelling in China for an extended period of time (other than with EcoTrek), please let us know how long you plan to stay in China.

  10. Chinese Embassy is closed during festivals; however the Embassy accepts visa application and issue visas in advance. Should you require this, you will be charged an urgent visa fee and must provide all necessary documents accordingly.

  11. Once in Tibet, a cultural awareness update on sensitive issues and overall well-being of the clients in necessary. We provide in-depth trip briefing by our Tibetan expert and entertain any last minute questions.

  12. Personal Tips (porter, guide, driver) services are not included while crossing the border or high way including treks or hike in Tibet, 2 to 10$/day each person consider a good tips if job is rewarding.

Risk and Liabilities:Eco Trek or Holy Himalaya group is one of the best companies for outdoor activities in the Himalaya since 1992. We are the Yatra pioneers in the Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage to the Holiest part of the world including Mt. Kailash and Muktinath.  We are always getting rewarding results on operations with smooth and pleasant journeys. However the entire program in Tibet is conducted strictly under the rules and regulations of Government of China (Tibet Tourism Bureau). Therefore, Holy Himalaya Group and its related organizations will not be held responsible for any changes in the itineraries due to unavoidable circumstance such as Government restriction, land slide, road blockage, flood, snow, and Political unrest, cancellation of flight, delay, shortage of facilities on rush hour, sickness or Accident.


Document:

A clear, colour copy of passport on booking (by email) with minimum six months valid passport and two copies of passport size photograph on arrival. A normal health certificate from your personal doctor for those who are 60 years and above of age is recommended. Also a paper copy of medical history always helps in case of an emergency (officially there is an age limit for Indian passport holders i.e. 70 years).


We will collect all the original passports 10 days in advance in Delhi prior to your departure to Kathmandu (all the Indian passports). Passport from Non residential Indian will be collected on arrival in Kathmandu.


Fitness:

Except the high altitude (always get idea with experience yatris and contact your doctor- do not listen commercial leader’s story) the Kailash trip is more a luxury road tour; therefore no specific level of fitness is required. If you think you are fit and have strong will power you are welcome to join (on your own risk). People suffering from cardiac or respiratory problems should consult to their doctor. If you are willing to join on 3 days parikarma, regular morning and evening walks, jogging, stretching, meditation and regular exercise helps a lot to enjoy the high altitude holy Parikarma.


Food and Beverage:

We will serve healthy simple veg. meals which is makes fit on high altitude; Generally, breakfast and dinner will be served in Campsite/lodge serve. Light Pack lunch will be provided on driving or walking days. Dinner on arrival and breakfast on the departure day is included as well while you are here in Kathmandu.


Clothing and Necessities:

As the temperature varies greatly between day and night (from max. 20 degrees Celsius to min. to –16 degrees Celsius) one should prepare accordingly. Our guide will brief about the wearing on travelling days.


Insurance (recommended):

You are travelling on your own risk and to be sure with unavoidable circumstances buy a insurance policies which covers third country traveling including sport activities since there is a trekking part as well on the Kailash trip. Helicopter evacuation, hospital, medical, family visit, loss of belonging, and trip cancellation is strongly recommended to be covered by the policies.


Cancellation:

Cancellation: Whether we do collect the amount in advance or not the following cancelation policy will be on an understanding to implement.


•       21days period from tour departure date 10% cancellation.


•       15 days period from tour departure date 30% cancellation.


•       07 days and less period no sow 80% cancellation.
